Could it be in pain?

LIVISTO Observatory on Animal Pain (LOAP) is the first European platform to help you identify pain in dogs and cats. They don’t complain, but they give you signals and you can learn how to identify these.

LOAP also makes available to you a network of veterinary clinics with an awareness of pain, who have joined this initiative.

LOAP 2022 Report

This report draws together the conclusions of a European study carried out amongst companion animal owners, veterinary clinics and veterinarians who are experts in animal pain from different specialisms (anaesthesia, traumatology, behaviour, etc.). The LOAP report from LIVISTO explains how animal welfare has gone from being a neglected concept to a social priority in recent years, and provides up-to-date information on how veterinarians and pet owners perceive it.
